Diet. Friend or foe?

Like may other person in the world i have essentially been on a diet for the majority of my life. With very little success. Now I don't want to preach, sell or parade. This is my story, all I want to do is share it.

Me. Then.

I genuinely cant remember a time i was ever smaller than a size 14. I am also not ashamed to say like many others i am a massive comfort eater. When im struggling so does my waist band. Never realising the severity of the situation i continued to do 'normal' twenty something activites, go out, drink, etc.

That is until i saw a picture and didn't reckoned the person in it. Who was that sad over weight girl? At the same age as my clothing size it was now or never. Nothing would change if i didn't.

Me... Right Now.

I still have a way to go, yet two stone now, 4 clothing sizes down. A healthy, fit, happy me is ready to carry on. Start a new. And LOVE myself along the way.

How'd i do it?

Juice plus. Now this is the time many of you criticize or turn away, but just hear me out. This 'food diary will show my exercise, meals and shakes i have in a day.

How Juice plus works.

One or two shakes a day,two healthy snacks and one healthy meal from the all purpose amazing, yet healthy cook book!
Yes it's that SIMPLE!

Breakfast.

Vanilla Juice plus powder, Porridge oats with coconut milk and a full apple chopped up.
A half spoon of Juice Plus mixed in with porridge takes a bland owl to a new level! Add an apple for extra sweetness and texture.

Lunch,
Juice Plush Vanilla Shake with Coconut milk. Blended with a hand blender to ensure no lumps or powder like texture. You can add as much fruit as you want to change the taste of the milkshake.

Dinner

Goats cheese, paprika and sweet potato wedges cooked in the oven with Olive Oil!

SNACKS!
Bake well tart Naked Bar, the nicest snack i have ever eaten. Far to nice to be healthy.

Olives. Black, green what ever. I love them, with feta cheese its like eating a Greek cloud!

Exercise.

Unfortunately, scientist haven't created a diet that means you no longer need to exercise, then to lose weight its an unfortunate task. I try to do a simple work out 3 times a week. 20 squats, 20 sit ups and 20 poor attempts of push ups.

Will it work for you?

I don't know. I can only talk you through my experiences on juice plus. Although, i wouldn't have gotten through the process without the support of my disrupter and others on the diet. Its a collective effort which champions you when you succeed and helps motivate you when you don't. I am a proud Juice Plusser. And i can only hope, you may be too.

Airbrushing to perfection?

No7 Airbrush Away...
No 7 have done it again! Their new Airbrush AwayFoundation is amazing, it covers so well! Even my snow white complexion the coverage is amazing! Hypoallergenic, animal friendly and an amazing coverage? What could be more perfect?

Before and after?
Having blotchy skin and dark eyes I struggle to find a foundation which doesn't emphasize them without a huge amount of concealer.Saying this, I love the coverage with Airbrush Away, the color is perfect for my  skin tone. No line, no patches it's definitely like Airbrushing in a bottle.

Perfection ?

I have to say this product does have one major flaw. It's longevity. Like most teenage relationships, the foundation is over before it begin's. Once leaving the house in this hideous weather, your flaws do tend to show through (especially in the winter!). With the addition of scarves, coffee and the occasional mulled wine.I don't believe that the product would last all day. This problem, however, can be easily rectified with some fixing spray! And DA-DA. Perfect complexion all day, everyday!

Technique?
Beauty Blender of hero's

The particular foundation (in my opinion) works better with a beauty blender. My personal favorite is the Real Techniques ,£6.99 from most high street stores. The angles of the blender allows for flawless coverage (Check out my other blogs for my comparisons, tips and tricks for using beauty blenders) with out making you look cake-y or blotchy.

Winter Wonderland

Fluffy socks, hot chocolate and Harry potter. Yes, it's Winter!

Candles, candles everywhere.

'Oh i wish it could be Christmas'
Like every other woman in the world I'm obsessed with candles. In my eyes there isn't enough candle wax in the word! Yes, Yankie Candles are my favorite! No particular smell just them all will do.

Although for you Christmas lovers keep an eye out for Icicles and Winter Glow.

Blankets, the fluffier the better!
Blankets, films and hot chocolate sounds like the perfect cosy night in. With the winter night's drawing in I'm constantly reaching out for something the wrap myself up in. Whilst there are plenty of patterns to chose from my personal favorite are the super fluffy checked blankets from Primark for around £6.

SOCKS!

Personal Favorite from last year.
One of the best feeling's in the world is putting on warm socks on. And taking them off when your feet get warm. Socks are essential now the cold weather has descended upon us. So it's pretty important to get the right ones!

Fluffy socks are great for keeping you feet warm whilst curling up with a good book. There literally every where! Primark do the best cost effective pairs  (usually priced around £3- £5) with the cutest patterns, perfect for any occasion.

                                  Perfect night in.

I'm a bit of a home bird. My perfect night in consists of the a Snow White bath bomb form Lush (£3.95), a salted caramel green tea and a good book. And i have to say i am currently relieving one of my favorite books I've ever written. Fault in Our Stars, a life affirming, beautiful love story. Trust me the film has nothing on the book. You may just need a few tissues along the way.

Harry Potter
Because who doesn't love the wizarding world.

Mayhem managed.

About the Blogger!

Hello all!

So I thought I'd introduce myself, my names Emma, I'm 23 and I have a cosmetics blog called emmainthefloodrobe.

Why a new blog did you say?

Well im weird. This blog is to try and communicate my weird to others to make my feel the slightest bit normal (slightest). And I do love blogging about well everything not just cosmetics.

Other stuff I'm OBSESSED with.

 Pug drinking tea! (CUTENESS OVERLOAD)

Yankie Candles, Sam Smith, Festivals, Holiday, Sun, Penguins, just pretty much anything. And wine!

Major Pet Peves
Wear it don't eat it!
Lipstick on teeth, bullying, cruelty to animals, bad nails, mucky makeup brushes and brushing my hair.

The sound track of March !

I love music, going to gigs is literally my favorite pass times. Recenlty I went to see The Script, for the second time (previously have seen them at V festival 2 years a go) honestly the band was incredable. Pitch perfect, word perfect and they didn't annoyingly put alot of pressure on the audience. You can tell that the band love what they do with every inch of there being.

I have to say the new album is increadable with many a tear jerker, yet beautiful non the less. The Script keep evolving with the times unlike most bands they don't stay in their own little bubble. With all music becoming more electronic based the ban has embraced new times and crestes songs like 'Paint the Town Green' (perfect for summer festivals)

However, as much as I love the band I can't help thinking that they were a little outshined by Tinie Tempah. The energy he displayed playing songs such as Earthquake was unlike any other I have seen and i beleive i wasnt the only one thinking that. The man definately found some more fans that night!
